Photos: Chelsea fan tattoos Mikel Obi's name on his butt

Chelsea fan, Lee Mitchell wrote on his twitter page on Sunday January 5th that he will tattoo Mikel's name or Chelsea badge on his butt if the Chelsea midfielder scored against Derby in the FA Cup. He probably thought the chances of Mikel scoring was very low...because the Nigerian player had only scored 3 goals in his seven-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge. Unfortunately for Lee that day Mikel scored his fourth goal.

Lee Mitchell went through with his promise and got the tattoo. See the photos after the cut..

Suicidal... student finally succeeds in killing himself. Hangs self in his room

Part-time student of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Timilehin Ayobami Ogundare tried to kill himself on Sat January 4th by jumping into River Ogun but was stopped and saved by some security guards who handed him over to men of the vigilante service. Timi was later released. The next day, he succeeded in killing himself by hanging himself in his room with his belt.

PM News reports that Timi, who worked as a computer operator in Ibadan, was found dead in his room at Ilupeju area, Baasala, Asero, Abeokuta, Ogun State. A family source disclosed that he's tried to kill himself last year but was stopped by some people.
“The whole issue is still like a drama because I don’t know what could have made him decide to take his life. We have been looking for him since January 1. Later, we heard that he went to Lagos. He boarded a train from Lagos back to Abeokuta on Saturday and came down at Lafenwa. He trekked from the station through Enu Gada area to Ajitaadun down to Arakanga area with the aim of jumping into the river.
“He was arrested by the security men in the area when they saw him wandering with only his boxer pant on. They handed him over to the Vigilante men at Oke Ilewo for further investigation. We went there to collect him and we were told to come back with him yesterday. On getting to his room, we found out that he had hanged himself. He left a short note, apologizing that he disappointed us,” the source narrated in tears.
When contacted, the spokesman of the Ogun State Vigilante Service, Mr. Soji Ganzallo, confirmed the incident and expressed shock at the boy’s death.

“It is unfortunate that what we tried to prevent eventually happened. They (family) were careless with the way they handled the boy. If the boy had been properly monitored, this sad incident wouldn’t have happened. We got a distress call on Saturday by local security men around Arakanga that a boy was trying to commit suicide by trying to jump into the river. Our men rushed to the area and took the boy to our office.

“In the course of questioning him, he confirmed to us that he left home for Lagos on New Year day but did not tell us where and who he went to meet in Lagos. When we asked about his phone, he said he had no phone but only his sim card was with him.

“Sensing that his parents will be looking for him, I directed that his sim card be inserted into a phone, hoping that someone will call his line,” Ganzallo said.
The vigilante spokesman revealed further that not long after the sim card was inserted into the phone, several calls came in.

“We discovered that those calls were from his mother, sister and a pastor. The pastor later called back and demanded to stand as surety for his bail. We agreed.
“The man of God arrived with the boy’s mother and some relatives. The pastor’s name is Wole Oyenekan and he gave his address as Egba Inner Circle Building, Abiola Way, Abeokuta.
“We questioned the boy but from what I was able to gather, the boy was determined not to tell anybody his problem. The pastor pleaded with me to hand him over to him. I initially disagreed but after much persuasions and assurance that they will monitor him, I released him to them and asked them to come back on Sunday.
“I was shocked when I heard the news that the boy eventually carried out his mission,” Ganzallo lamented.

Another source disclosed that the teenager perfected his suicide by refusing to go to church on Sunday, feigning illness. “I remember that he told the pastor while coming from the Vigilante’s office that he needed some money to pay for his school fees and the pastor told him to see him on Sunday after church service. After the breakfast, he said he was not feeling well and begged to be allowed to stay back, which was granted.

“After the church service, he joined other family members to eat the lunch around 4 p.m. After the food, he went into his room and no one bothered to know what he was doing until around 8p.m. when we were looking for him. When we forced his door opened, we met his lifeless body. He hanged himself with his belt. We went to the Obantoko Police Station to report the matter and the police arrived around 11.45 p.m. and removed his corpse to the mortuary,” he stated

SHOCKING PHOTO: First Bank Uyo Shut Down As A Result Of Juju (Photo)

Accordant reports from Akwa Ibom State that the Plaza branch of First Bank Nigeria PLC, Uyo is currently under a traditional injunction placed at the entrance of the banking hall by unknown persons.
The building which is reportedly owned by Joesco Group of Companies is located at the heart of the
town and is reportedly regarded as the most patronized bank in Akwa Ibom State.

Whoever gave the traditional injunction is still unknown but there are insinuations that maybe there's a problem between the owners of the property and the bank or an aggrieved customer/staff of the bank versus the branch's management.

As a result of the injunction, customers reportedly were seen in large numbers rushing in use the ATM to avoid being financially stranded as the week begins.
For now, no one knows whether the bank will be open for business tomorrow following the ugly incident.

EXPOSED: So Stella Oduah Is Working With A Fake Certificate

Everyday, it is becoming clear that thieves and criminals are holding top positions in Nigeria...

US College Says It Did Not Award MBA To Stella Oduah As It Has No Masters Programme
Stella Oduah, Nigeria’s Aviation Minister who is embroiled in a scandal of towering proportions in the ministry, faces new integrity questions as her Masters’ degree has been challenged by the United States school which she claimed awarded the degree to her.

Her resume, presented to Senate as a ministerial nominee in 2011, indicated she obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from St. Paul’s College Lawrenceville, Virginia, United States.
But the School's Provost Vice President of Academic Affairs and Vice President of Institutional Development said in response to inquiries: “We don’t offer any graduate programs here.”
Sahara Reporters has learned from the President of the college that it has never in its 125-year history had a graduate school or graduate program.

Similarly, the school’s website states: “Saint Paul's College is accredited by the Commission of Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate [bachelor’s] degrees.” There is no mention of graduate degrees.

“[Oduah] realized very early in life the indispensability of a sound education in her growth plans in life and therefore pursued her education with all diligence and sense of purpose,” her documents claimed, adding that a determination “to have the best education at the highest level” prompted her stay at the Virginia college in 1983 for the MBA programme.

As her public relations machinery marched on, in December 2012 The Sun newspaper published an article headlined “Stella Oduah: An Amazon of transformation,” which lauded her “MBA from St Paul’s College, Lawrenceville Virginia USA.” The story also praised her for being an official who brought her “rich educational background to bear on the aviation sector by automating revenue centers in all the agencies and parastatals to boost their revenue profile and enhance transparency and accountability in the system.”

Oduah’s new certificate questions are certain to feed into national concern about her credibility as an elected official, but also about Jonathan’s credibility, and about the nation’s security apparatus which verifies official documents offered to the Senate for official nominations.

If Mrs. Oduah deliberately deceived the Senate, it remains to be seen if the Upper Legislative House will be sufficiently motivated to take up the matter appropriately.
Afterall, Jonathan is yet to reveal the findings of the panel he set up to investigate Stella Oduah's cars scandal

Star stuns Nigeria's biggest artistes with the largest toast in Africa

Premium lager, Star, on January 1st drew the crème de la crème of Nigeria’s artistes, with some of the biggest names in the music entertainment industry witnessing what was arguably the largest toast in Africa. The event, one of the special highlights of the second annual Countdown held at Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island Lagos. Continue.

The symbolic toast to usher in the new year was anchored by the Corporate Affairs Adviser Nigerian Breweries Plc, Kufre Ekanem with Funke Akindele, Funmi Iyanda and a bevy of other guests who had the audience raising their glasses to toast 2014 as the giant LED clock on display struck midnight.

The special toast was done with a purpose-designed Star Magnum bottle which popped as the clock ticked midnight. Hundreds of thousands of Lagosians, tourists, music fans and celebs clicked glasses and sipped on Star, as happy new year wishes took over Eko Atlantic

Artistes who witnessed the event include D’banj, Tuface, M.I and Ice Prince Davido as well as Burna Boy, Timaya, Banky W, WizKid, Omolara, Ara, Ozzy Bosco, Waje, May D, Tunde Ednut, CEO Dancers, Reminisce, Show Dem Camp, General Pype, Skuki, Eldee, Sasha, Skales, JMartins, Bez, Orezi, Seyi Shay, Ketchup, K/Switch, and many more.

Africa’s favourite rapper M.I stunned fellow label mate and multiple award winning rapper Ice Prince when he joined him on stage to perform his hit classic “Aboki’ at the Lagos Countdown powered by STAR which held at Eko Atlantic Victoria Island Lagos on the 31st of December 2013.

"I’m wishing you a great year ahead, the popular rapper chorused repeatedly, 2014 is your year,” he emphasised to the audience as he joined Ice Prince on stage

he tables turned easily as the prolific rapper enjoined Ice Prince -who set aside his regular ‘chains’ and jeans for a classy ice blue caftan-to stay on stage after his own act.

The exciting duo went on to perform for over 30 minutes some of M.I’s classic songs such as Action Film, Undisputed Champion and African Rapper (No 1) and others to the delight of the teeming crowd before bowing off the stage.

Stellar performances from each artiste rivalled the pyrotechnic fireworks for effect as each artiste strove to ensure that guests enjoyed every minute of the almost 12 hour event.

The Lagos Countdown ended with a sensational performance by fast rising artiste, Burna Boy

Do You Think Phyno is the best rapper in Nigeria?
Listening to Man of the Year (Obago) reminds of TuPac. I think he’s the most talented rapper in Nigeria. The way he combines swagg and street cred is a beauty to behold. If you ask me, I’ll place him above the likes of MI, Olamide and Ice Prince (who can’t even freestyle) and gladly declare him the best rapper in Nigeria.

I Never Knew Mikel Obi Could Score Goals – Mourinho -

ose Mourinho was left to reflect on a job well done after this afternoon’s 2-0 victory at Derby in the FA Cup.
Like at Southampton on Wednesday, the first half was entertaining and end to end, if shorn of goals, and like at Southampton it needed a second-half header to open the scoring.
After Michael Essien was replaced John Mikel Obi took the captain’s armband, and, on his 300th appearance in a Chelsea shirt, capped his day
with a goal, thumping home Willian’s free-kick with a bullet header.
Oscar added a second soon after, swerving the ball past Derby’s keeper Lee Grant with a fine strike, and the remaining minutes were played out in relative comfort as we eventually eased
into the fourth round, where a home tie with Stoke City awaits.
Jose Mourinho said he was delighted with his side’s attitude against a side going well in the Championship…
‘The game was difficult,’ said Mourinho. ‘In the first half we played quite well, we were not far from scoring but it was still 0-0 at half-time and that is a big risk, because after that if the opponent scores you are in trouble.
‘They got the message that in the second half we needed an extra intensity. I decided to change Essien for Eden Hazard to bring an extra
attacking player on to make it more difficult for them.
‘The team played seriously, we won, job done.’ It was a landmark day for John Mikel Obi, in many respects…
‘I never recognise his ability to score goals!’ the Portuguese laughed.
‘I recognise his ability to play as an
anchorman, to play that position in a very comfortable way, with no mistakes. He reads the game well, plays in an intelligent and safe way, but I never recognise his goalscoring appetite.
‘There was a smile on my face [when he scored]. For some reason Essien gave him the armband, normally it should go to Ashley Cole, so maybe it made him believe he was a goalscorer! ‘It was important for us, we were dominating and dominating, creating and creating but the goal was not arriving. It was like the winning goal.’
