Massage chair user in Japan tweets for help and alerts police after falling asleep and getting locked in store

A massage chair user in Japan had to make use of Twitter to plead for help after he slept off in an electrical store while enjoying his massage and woke up to find the store locked and the shutters lowered.

The man, identified only by his Twitter handle @_Asphodelus, tweeted, “Oh man, I’m locked in!”

Photos: Kidnappers who killed and buried their victim after collecting N5m ranson nabbed in Anambra

Two members of a kidnap gang were caught by a combined team of policemen, local vigilante and hunters. According to Abia Facts Newspaper, the kidnappers identified as Obiora and Livinus, natives of Umuanu in Ndia Agu kidnapped a grandmother, killed and buried her in the bush after collecting the sum of Five million naira from her family. No further details were given on the victim.

A lot of things happen to people at the University of Lagos but we only get to hear a few of these things or we may not even hear about these things at all. For about a month, I have been taking photography classes at Yaba. Yesterday, August 4th, my photography coach fixed our class at the Sports Centre at the University of Lagos. I drove into the premises at about 2pm. Meanwhile, a sporting event organized by MTN took place at the sports centre yesterday. READ MORE
After my class at about 5pm, I got to the car park and discovered that my car had been burgled with three of the glass wand down. My camera bag containing 2 lenses, 64gig memory card, batteries, camera cable, blackberry Q10, another bag containing my wallet, notepads, GTB ATM card, ID card, voters card, money , drivers Licence were all stolen from the car. I also discovered that my car key could not lock the door. The security guards at the sports centre referred me to their security office where I made a statement. After I narrated my ordeal, one of the security officer said 'You're lucky they didn't go with your car'.

I was also asked to report the case at the Sabo police station. When I narrated what happened to the officer in charge of the case at the station, he made me understand that this isn't the first time people would report cases of theft to them. Apparently, the situation is getting out of hand. Just incase you would be attending an event at Unilag or you have some engagement within the premises of the institution, please note that your things are not safe. You park at your own risk despite the presence of security guards.

Photos: 1 feared drown in River Mangu at Gindiri in Mangu, Plateau state

This morning August 5, people in Gindiri LGA were on their way to work only to discover that flood had submerged the only local bridge connecting Gindiri and Lange in Mangu local government area of Plateau state. The height of the water on the bridge was so much that vehicles and people were stranded on both sides of the river due to the rains that fell the night of August 4th.READ MORE

The villagers alleged that a man on bike trying to cross at the peak of the flooding at night got drown in the process. See more photos after the cut...

After several hours, the level of water on the bridge fell to below waist level and the brave youths started ferrying bikes and passengers on their backs at the rate of N200 per person. They alleged that it is a recurring problem every year. And that the govt should do something about it.

The local government chairman of Mangu, Sarinki Lange and the Sum Phyem of Mangu later visited the site to assess the situation. The local government chairman promised to take up the matter with the deputy governor of Plateau state who is from the area.
