5 Reasons Why We Love Mo Abudu
She is the famous talk show host of Moments with Mo, TV producer, media personality, human resources management consultant and a formidable entrepreneur known as Mo Abudu. Seeing as she is about to clock 50 in a few months, in celebration of this amazing woman, we will tell you five reasons why we love Mo Abudu.
1. Understands home and work balance: She is an amazing entrepreneur whose mark in various fields from the corporate to the media world is greatly felt. She also sits on the board of several NGOs and amazingly, she is still deeply connected to her family. Of her children, a son and a daughter, she fondly says “I love them so very much; I can’t get over the fact that I am a mother.”
2. A visionary and a forward thinking person: Her whole attitude towards life confirms that when she thinks it, you can be sure that she will do it. She does not take no for an answer whenever she is determined to make a difference in the lives of people.
3. Hardworking with strong faith in God: Her achievements over the years goes to show how much she values hard work and this does not exist outside of her strong faith in God. She has been able to overcome the odds against her from the young age of 11 when she lost her father. Till today, she believes that with hard work, there is nothing you think that cannot be achieved.
4. A proudly Nigerian, Proudly African woman: She believes very much in Nigeria and this is why most of her ventures and initiatives are meant to create jobs and to positively impact her generation and her nation. Her passion to spread this vibe to all of Africa motivated her to establish the Inspire Africa Foundation which will create credible media driven platforms through which Africans can engage each other and the rest of the world. A lover of culture, she has taken it as her duty to showcase the greatness of Africa and celebrate the culture and the people of Africa.
5. Has a large heart: It is only a person with a large heart that won’t hesitate to do good and Mo Abudu has shown that her heart overflows with goodness. Her foundation opened a charity store branded “The Designers Outlet for Charity” in 2009 and is currently developing a children’s shelter called “The Harbour”.
